We checked out of Birmingham and headed out to North Wales. I was most excited to see another country on this trip and interested to see a coastal town. It was about 2.5 hours to Llandudno Wales and Adam thought it would be fun to stop at the Chester Zoo on the way just to break up the trip. He was right. The Chester Zoo was amazing and although many of the animals were not out and about, we did see some great sights and enjoyed the stop over very much. The zoo was quite large and we walked a good bit which left us all tired but we pushed on to Llandudno around mid afternoon.
We parked at a train station a few blocks away from the hotel but the walk wasn’t bad as there were so many shops and sights to see. We got checked in and I headed down to the beach. The beach is amazing. It is a craggy (rocky) beach full of stones and pebbles of all sizes and colors and patterns. I walked around amazed for a while then sat down on the rocks to just soak it all in. The tide was coming in, so I had to keep moving back and the sun was starting to set. It was so peaceful, and I immediately wished we were staying there the remainder of the time. Pretty sure I have a coastal soul trapped in an inland body.
