Today, we slept in a little and tried to catch up on some sleep before heading over to the Cadbury Chocolate Factory in Bournville Birmingham. We didn’t actually go through the factory tour but raided the shop like we were looking for a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket. Chocolate tastes different in the UK than what we are used to in the US. We enjoyed looking through the chocolate gift shop and having Adam tell us what was what. We grabbed some McDonalds UK version and then headed over to meet Adam’s sister and her family. Adam’s family is so nice and welcoming, and we exchanged more gifts. We brought snacks from home and they shared snacks from the UK. They have two of the cutest little girls and after they got over their initial shyness of these strange Americans in their home, they were perfect little English hostesses. We left there and Adam dropped me off at the hotel and he and SL went to an arcade. They picked me up later and we went to our first real chippy for fish and chips which we brought back to the hotel to eat. You could choose cod or haddock and SL and I got cod. Both fish and chips were so good and exactly what we expected them to be.
